Gladiators

Gladiators are one of the most creative classes in the game, not only do they have the ability to wield a spear, sword, dagger, and greatsword, but also the bow, mace, and shield. Gladiators come in handy, they are able to tank when needed to, they have huge burst damages when wielding the spear, and are able to use AoEs (Area of Effect). Gladiators are much-like templars but do not have the same kind of healing skills as templars, though gladiators do get some healing stigmas/skills.

Gladiators rely on knockdown and for them to be in close-combat with a person, but when it comes down to chasing a person that likes to run away, they can pull out their bow and shoot.

Spear - Mainly used for pvp (burst)

Mace (Dual Wield) - Although damage godstones do not work, a mace with magic boost (dual wield) and adding a 1880 damage godstone will tremendously help when it comes to DPS in PvE.

Dagger & Sword - Since damage godstones do not work, swords are the best two-handed weapons for pve. (Since this server stacks attack and attack speed with dagger & sword, best for this combo instead of sword sword). Best in PvE.

Bow - Best for chasing someone when it comes to PvP.

Shield - Gladiators rarely use shields, but is good when you need to tank and mitigate damage, mostly used (if use) in PvE.

Side Note --

When this server fixes their accuracy & block rate, you should buy a new spear and armor pieces with accuracy socketed in them so that you hit at least 2100 accuracy. Only reason why accuracy becomes important is because it bypasses a templar's block, making it INCREDIBLY easier killing them and harder for them to kill you.

[Manastone]

[Attack + Crit]
Socket crit until you hit the soft cap, or get a number near the soft cap (can always use scrolls\food). Then go full attack.

[Full Attack]
Since you can hit up to 140 crit with food and scrolls, you can go full attack and just keep that 14% crit chance. Highly do not recommend this.

[Attack + Crit + Accuracy]
Socket accuracy until you hit 2100 (remember this is a seperate set only for pvping against a templar), have your other pieces help your crit hit or get near the soft cap then stack full attack.

[Stigmas]

*Gladiators have a wide variety of stigmas for different occasions.

Severe Precision Cut Build - Highy do NOT recommend this build for air PvP as it is a PvE build. Severe precision cut and precision cut's casting is glitched and hopefully gets fixed. If a target is farther than 7m away, it shouldn't hit them. This is a rather 'ok' build for ground pvp though. But if you want it for ground pvp, replace draining blow with Ankle Snare.

[Normal Stigmas]
  • Crippling Cut
  • Severe Weakening Blow
  • Unwavering Devotion / Advanced Dual Wielding
  • Draining Blow / Ankle Snare
  • Lockdown

[Advanced Stigmas]
  • Precision Cut
  • Berserking
  • Severe Precision Cut

Korean Hybrid Build - Recommend for PvP

[Normal Stigmas]
  • Ankle Snare
  • Improved Stamina
  • Unwavering Devotion
  • Advanced Dual-Wielding

[Advanced Stigmas]
  • Sharp Strike
  • Slaughter
  • Berserking

---------------------------------------------------------------
(I really need to update and put a little bit more effort into this guide, sorry if it isn't that great)
---------------------------------------------------------------

[Gladiators]
Against gladiators, it's all about who gets the most knockdowns and burst. I recommend starting off at a long range and use cleave and it's chain skills. Do your best to keep yourself from getting picked off and get your knockdowns straight and try to chain your knockdowns.

[Templars]
Templars shouldn't be that hard if they are using a greatsword, if they are, it's best to use your attack set instead of your accuracy set. Use accuracy if they're wielding a shield. Templars have effective healing skills, so be ready to chain kb them (won't work if they have unwavering) when you think they're going to cast it (best to think that they're going to pop it when they're 50%). If they pop iron skin, ankle snare them, get away, don't bother attacking them as your attacks will get reduced by 50%.

[Sorcerers]
Sorcerers are one of the most hardest classes to kill as a gladiator due to the fact that you will get slept, slowed, and kited. My best advice to you is to unwavering devotion to avoid stuns, knockbacks, and aether hold and pot yourself or skill yourself out of slows. Use your ankle snare on them, as it is a magic-based attack, illusion should NOT affect this skill.

[Spiritmasters]
Spiritmasters are also one of the most hardest classes to kill as a gladiator as you will get chain-feared and dotted to death. Just as I told you about sorcerers, use unwavering devotion to resist any stuns, knockbacks as possible. Also do your best to pot yourself out of those dots and slows.

[Ranger]
Since rangers will not have as much burst-fire as they did in the previous patch, they will not be able to kill you that easily from now on. Though, do note that they can resist ankle snare if they have focused evasion up. Keep unwavering devotion up as you do not want to get stunned. Do your best to keep that ranger as close as possible to you. Rangers are squishy and so you should have no problem killing them. Do they sleep you and sandstorm trap? Pot out of it. If rangers go into hide 1, trace them as they're not completely hidden for a few seconds and click on yourself and spam those aoes.

[Assassin]
Assassins have trouble killing gladiators as they have unwavering devotion. Make sure to keep unwavering devotion up so that they can't ariel lock or stun lock you to death. Also, keep in mind that they have blinding burst, pot out of it as quickly as you can. Also, they have advanced hide, but for gladiators, nothing different as to rangers as seeds of detection are not confirmed to be working yet. So just aoe where you think they will be and you should knock them out of hide. They have a total of 5 magic resist skills so ankle snare will probably not work on them unless they don't pop it. Be careful when timing your ankle snare.

[Clerics]
Clerics are not very easy to kill as they have a short-cooldown on root and they can heal themselves as well as dot, range stun, and summon noble energys on you. Ankle snare will be hard to pull of as clerics can easily dispel it. Keep in mind that you need to keep yourself as close as to the cleric and stun lock them as fast as possible. Unwavering devotion isn't a must, but it helps against that one range stun that they have.

[Chanters]
Chanters are also a stun-lock class just like sins, and they have healing abilities. They, in fact, do not have dispel so you will be to easily ankle snare them. Keep unwavering devotion up as you do not want to get caught in a chanter's stun lock. Do your best keeping the chanter knocked down and you shouldn't have problems killing the chanter.
